Mass of the Holy Spirit, Schola Brevis and ‘Rite of Admission to the Sacred Orders’ 2020

On this day, we had the Mass of the Holy Spirit, the Rite of Admission to the Sacred Orders (Diaconate) and the inauguration of the academic year 2020-21. The day commenced with the Holy Eucharist offered by Most Rev. Dr. Raphi Manjaly wherein 15 brothers of fourth year theology were admitted to the Sacred Order of Diaconate. After the breakfast at 9.00 a.m. the new academic year 2020 -21 was inaugurated with a short program. Bro. Justin anchored the ceremony and the program was chaired by Most Rev. Dr. Raphy Manjily, the chairman of the Seminary along with Rev. Fr. Ronald Tellis, the Rector and the Dean of studies Rev. Fr. Leo Tolstoy. Fr. Rector proffered the vision and mission for the year, followed by the official inauguration of the new software by the Chairman created by Br. Jeevan Neil, II-year student for the Library. The Chair person Most Rev. Raphy Manjaly exhorted the gathering with his words of wisdom on the diocesan spirituality, priests’ relationship with bishop, among themselves and healthy relationship with people around. The Schola Brevis culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by the Dean of the studies.
