Admission to the Diaconate and ‘Schola Brevis’ 2019

The mass of the Holy Spirit was offered by Most Rev. Dr. Raphy Manjaly, in which 19 fourth year theologians were admitted to the Order of Diaconate. The Bishop received the candidates and blessed them through an inspiring homily. The inauguration of scholastic year 2019-2020 was held on the same day at 9.00 a.m. The Chairman of the Seminary, Most Rev. Dr. Raphy Manjaly was the chief guest and Rev. Fr. Rector presented a short report and the motto of the year followed by Rev. Fr. Jude Joby, the dean of the studies who proffered the academic plan for the scholastic year. Mr. Santhosh John Bosco, a young teacher from Gorakhpur, in his special speech on Youth and the related challenges, appealed to the seminarians to come prepared to serve all especially the youth of the time. The Rector then disclosed the different responsibilities of the members of the staff and the gathering came to an end with a vote of thanks proposed by Rev. Fr. A. Sebastian.
