The Assumption of Mary and Independence Day

On this day the Seminary celebrated joyfully the solemnity of the assumption of BVM, the 73rd Independence Day and the ordination day of Rev. Rector. Ronald Tellis. The day began with the Holy Eucharist offered by Rev. Fr. Rector. Soon after the Mass, followed the celebration of the 73rd Independence Day of our country. Rev. Sr. Shalini Malackal was the chief guest of the ceremony. As usual the community gathered on the terrace of the old block of the seminary for hoisting the national flag with a short programme. Bro. Praveen Wankhade was the master of the ceremony. The first-year students sang a heart touching patriotic song. Br. Mukesh Kujur enlightened and challenged all with his well prepared speech. Sr. Shalini, the chief guest of the day addressed the students and encouraged them to live in the same spirit which she witnessed in their active participation in the entire program. Thus, the ceremony came to an end with National anthem followed by distribution of sweets and exchange of greetings. In the evening the community prayed the rosary in a creative manner.
